Apple Has More Money Than U.S. Government To Spend

15 years ago, Apple was on the verge of default. Today, the United States government is. Let’s hope that in 15 years, our government will have been able to turn it around the way Apple has.  Apple has $75.876 billion. The U.S. government has $73.768 billion.

MTV is turning 30 this Monday at Midnight.  It's sister service VH1 Classic is having a 3 day celebration featuring clips from classic shows such as Liquid TV, MTV Yo!, Beavis and Butthead, plus MTV Music Award shows.

Time Warner Cable Says Unlimited Internet Is Here To Stay

Time Warner Cable president Glenn Britt commented that he doesn't know when usage based internet will come, but that the focus will be on offering lower price tiers for users that are light users and on a budget.

“I would say that the right way to look at this and to our way of thinking is that there should be, there should remain an unlimited plan for those who want to buy that,” Britt said. “I think there should always be an unlimited plan.”

Nokia & LG Mobile Phone Share Decline

LG and Nokia saw significant double digit percentage decline in market share.  Apple saw a sharp rise of 141.8% in market share to a total of 2.6%.  RIM was conspicuously missing from the top five lineup.

AT&T Wireless Is Capping It's Unlimited Plans

AT&T Wireless is capping the grandfathered unlimited data users. If you use enough to be in the top 5% of users you will see you service throttled or slowed down.  AT&T makes the point that the average user will not be effected because 95% of users will not be effected.
